New Venture and Innovation Program Design

Our strategy workshops help companies set up incubators and drive
revenue growth from new ventures.

What We Do

IdeaGPS provides services to large enterprises and organizations to help them setup, operate, and drive results from innovation centers, R&D labs, incubators, and corporate venture capital programs. Our team has worked with many medium to multinational companies to enable their digital transformation.

New Venture Workshop

Through a 1-week workshop, we teach you how to tap into your IP and other latent assets and transform them into startups and commercially viable products.

Innovation Center Workshop

In our 2-Day Innovation Center Workshop, we help you build an operating model for your incubator, accelerator, or other innovation center.

New Venture Consulting

Beyond our workshops, we engage with teams on a longer-term basis to lead the development of new ventures from concept to viable business.

Enterprise Innovation Stack

A structured way to develop a new venture or
innovation program within your company.

The Enterprise Innovation Stack is a framework and set of tools to help companies think through innovation strategies. These topics are depicted as a Stack to reinforce the idea of alignment between layers.

Those companies that deploy an innovation program without a holistic view often fall severely short of their original expectations. The Enterprise Innovation Stack reduces this risk and positions companies for growth.

The framework enables companies to:

  • Visualize the various aspects of their program
  • Uncover potential innovation hurdles quickly
  • Create a common language to unite team members
  • Incorporate other tools, techniques, and concepts

Our Workshops

Our workshops are based on our unique Enterprise Innovation Stack Methodology.

Workshop duration: 2 full days (9 am to 5 pm) for innovation design workshop, 1 week for venture building workshop.  The Workshop is held at your facility and can be customized in content and format.  Each participant receives a copy of the Enterprise Innovation Stack Workshop Guide.

The workshop is a combination of presentation, discussion, and group exercises that focus on building an operating plan for your innovation program.
A group of at most 25-30 allows for rich discussion and learning.  Participants form teams of 3-5 people if needed, and develop the plan by focusing on one layer of the Innovation Stack at a time.

The workshop builds on the “Enterprise Innovation Stack” class taught by Anand Ramachandran at Stanford.

The workshop covers all aspects of designing, setting up, and operating an enterprise innovation program.
